Maaaaan, I picked up the this author's second book Dark Blue after reading Concrete Dreams and read it straight thru to the end. I can't tell how long its been since I picked up a book n read it in one take. Story sucked me right and I couldn't predict how it was going to play out in the end. Your definitely talented man and inspirational. Both books were great, realistic and modern. Can't wait to read the next one!
I could not wait to read this book after reading Concrete Dreams. The book goes into the world of very believable circumstances and makes one wonder - is it REALLY fiction or a back story that was told about the real NYPD life??? This book is a never ending thrill ride that you will find hard to put down. This book is another ABSOLUTE WINNER!!!! You will not be disappointed
Wow. After reading Concrete Dreams I had to read this author's next book. This one was even better. I don't even know where to begin. It's one thing reading stories like this one in the news and seeing it on the television news reports, but to be taken inside. Inside the world of the victims, the victim's parents, the system, and the officers. That was just amazing. And written from a retired officer really puts you inside that world. The author takes you into the process, the inside language,into so much that the average person wouldn't know. I hope some producer gets a hold of this book because I would love to see it on the big screen. You can tell from my other book reviews that I read books of all genres. A good book is a good book, no matter what genre it is, and this is a really good book. Full of suspense and action. Couldn't put it down till I was done reading it. The secret towards the end will really knock your socks off. I didn't see it coming at all. Had no idea who had the NYPD scrambling throughout the story. When I found out it made the book even that much better. I would recommend this book to any and all. You will not be disappointed.
